Stichting Wende ……………..

a shelter for children and parents affected by domestic violence.  

The Stichting Wende offers advice and accommodation for mothers or fathers plus their children who are victims of domestic violence. Stichting Wende has shelters at secret addresses around the town where they offer confidential counselling and practical support. They are also able to offer advice to the perpetrators of this violence.

Unfortunately domestic violence happens 365 days of the year so many children are unable to enjoy Christmas at home. This year the PWC will again collect Christmas gifts for the children at the Stichting Wende.

Christmas Appeal 2007

The centre will provide us with the approximate number of Christmas presents they require and the age group and sex of the child. Members are asked to spend €20 and purchase a gift for the child they select and to place it in an unsealed gift bag.

We are thrilled that Linda Stephen will be our co-ordinator. She has sign up sheets for you to select the aged group of child or children, whom you wish to choose. To contact Linda please refer to the new PWC directory.

You will be able to drop of the gifts at 2 separate locations, one in Den Haag (Jenny's house) and one in Wassenaar (Linda's house) or you can bring them to any of the meetings and hand them over to a committee member
