Lunar New Year is the most important festival of chinese people. This sacred festival occurs time between late January or early February, depending on Lunar calendar. It is also a time for family reunions, and for praying respect to ancestors and the elders. Gifts of food are made to friends, neighbours and relatives in the day before Lunar New Year.
